Urticaria
Urticaria is a little bit different from eczema. If it’s urticaria, the red patches are not stable. They are moving from one area to the other, which reflects one characteristic of a liver issue. While eczema is more of a spleen issue, urticaria will also involve the liver system. The theory is a little bit different.
Here is a real story from a Chinese network.
A 5-year-old child went to the hospital with a fever. The doctor prescribed an injection and then an antibiotic. Unexpectedly, he had an allergic reaction and developed a lot of red spots on his body. Although the fever was gone, he got urticaria.
The family went to all the hospitals in the city, and even went to the expert clinics in Shanghai. After more than a year, not only was the urticaria not cured, but the child’s face also became yellow, and he was thin. Later, the family tried moxibustion to treat urticaria under the recommendation of a relative. The acupoints used for moxibustion at that time were Da Zhui, Shen Zhu, Feishu, Zhongwan, Shen Que and Guanyuan. After three days of moxibustion, on the fourth day, the urticaria on the body was much more than before. At that time, the family was very scared and asked their relatives what was going on. The relatives told them that this was a normal reaction, that the moxibustion was boosting the body’s immune system and that they should just continue. After the seventh day, the urticaria disappeared. After that, the child never had urticaria anymore. The family told this relative that it took them tens of thousands of yuan and a lot of time for more than a year, but the urticaria was not cured. Unexpectedly, the disease was cured with only a few boxes of moxa sticks. It is unexpected that moxibustion has such a powerful effect.
So, clinically, we suggest our clients not only use moxibustion but also do so with some dietary changes. You can drink some soybean milk and a bit of sugar, or rice congee with a bit of crystal sugar in it, and drink it warm.
