Moxibustion For Chest Pain

One day, she caught me and told me that she had called an ambulance last night. I asked her what it was about. She said she had a runny nose, felt a bit cold and had chest pain last night. She told me that the doctor came and didn’t find any reason. But one of the doctors then checked the sink area and he found a bit of mold. He said that mold was causing her respiratory allergy. And because she called an ambulance, all the other tenants were concerned about what happened. And she told the other tenants about the findings of the doctor. Honestly speaking, that house is fairly new, and pretty clean. The tenants before her were all happy with the master bedroom there. The rooms and washroom are very clean and properly maintained. I didn’t notice any obvious mold. I even doubted that the doctor had found anything like that. What made me angrier was that the doctor didn’t know the real reason for her problem, and tried to find something like the mold to cover their ignorance, and caused a disturbance for other tenants.

After asking about her symptoms, I didn’t know what to say about those doctors. She didn’t even have any coughing symptom but only a runny nose and cold. She felt chest pain. I told her that was because she had caught a cold without knowing it, and the chest pain indicated a heart issue: heart yang deficiency. I told her just to press (PC6) the Nei Guan point. I offered her one treatment for free. I told her the real reason for that. Even just by pressing the acupuncture point PC6, she told me she felt better. During the moxibustion, she told me she could feel the relief in her chest area. Just after one treatment, she was okay.

She then asked me to give her some herbal tea to take. When she moved out, she told me that I was a good doctor. She would for sure come back if she got any other health issue again.

Anyway, her chest pain and stuffiness implied the pressure around the chest, especially the heart area. In her case, it was due to cold, so moxibustion could effectively help her.
